Europenan Champions are from Estonia!



The Raidaran 2018 was a real expedition race characteristic by the demanding terrain, where large distances and elevation were to overcome. The temperatures varied between zero in the night and +30 during the day.



The route crossed high mountain areas above 3000 meters, whitewater rivers and spectacular landscapes in protected areas. 25 teams from 8 different countries fought for the title of European AR champion. Some of them spend more than 180 hrs on the route, while the first team reached the finish line in 93hrs and 27min. It was Estonian ACE adventure team followed by next Estonian team SEIKLUSHUNT (93hrs 39min). The bronze position took French Team FMR with the time 101hrs 06min. The main prize is the entry fee for AR World Champs in France – Reunion. ARES will pay it instead of the Estonian ACE AR team. Congratulation to all finishers and good luck in Worl Champ!

About The Adventure Racing European Series

The ARES aims to grow the sport of Adventure Racing in Europe and combines long-distance races into a European Cup each year. This year there are 7 races in the series (Russia, Spain, Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Czech Republic & Portugal), and each year one race stages the European Championship event. (This year’s Championship has already taken place in Spain, and was won by a team from Estonia.)
